Christine Chamberlain doesn't want much from life: a steady job, a baby, and a Field's Medal. Her boss, however, wants money and he's willing to do anything to get his way, even if it means getting Christine involved in a project that not only jeopardises her dreams, but also her life. Eve Walus is a mathematician, a poet, a wife, a mother and a fake feminist - not
necessarily in that order. During the day, she works as a business analyst for
an insurance firm, which sounds really boring but really really isn't. At night,
she loves reading Agatha Christie and Minette Walters, playing bridge or German
board games. Sometimes she goes into seedy internet chat rooms - for research
purposes only, of course. Other than that, her life is pretty mundane and
sleep-deprived. Like Terry Pratchett, Yvonne believes that the world could do
with more orang-utans. And dolphins. And whales. Her other likes include the
colour blue, milk chocolate, cats, sleeping and scuba diving in tropical
locations. "Murder @ Work" is Yvonne's second mystery novel.
